About Us

Sam started his career in music as a professional musician. His proficiency with electronics and specifically audio equipment earned him everyone’s trust in handling their audio work. Soon after he became an audio engineer by trade which he followed by academically perusing his love of audio technology. Later Sam became an instructor of audio engineering at the Institute of Audio Research and New York University. Today Sam still teaches at NYU and runs his Audio Mastering practice as what he considers boutique mastering.

WHY MASTERING?

SO YOU BURN YOUR MIX TO A CD AND PROUDLY POP IT IN YOUR CD PLAYER. BUT WHEN YOU HEAR IT PLAYED AFTER A “COMMERCIALLY” RELEASED CD, YOU REALIZE THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE SONG? WHY DOESN’T IT SOUND AS GOOD AS OTHER SONGS WHEN SUBMITTED TO MUSICAL STREAMING SERVICES?
